Valve Employee Invents Commodore 64 Bass Guitar/Keytar
Jeri Ellsworth, electrical engineer at Valve who is working in R&D on the company's foray into hardware, unveiled her latest invention: a Commodore 64 Keytar/Bass Guitar hybrid. Simply put, the most awesome looking invention you have ever laid your eyes upon.
With the bass guitar string sounds processed by the Commodore's internal sound chip, she has immediate access to a plethora of glorious 8-bit sounds. These can be played via either the lettered keys on the keyboard, or the guitar strings, while a few set function keys manipulate the sound, which is then outputted via a portable amplifier she carries with her.
Such is the wonders that you can see at the Maker Faire in Bay Area.
